Oregon
Shakespeare Festival
Every
summer since 1935, distinguished actors
have been drawn to the charming town of
Ashland to perform in the Oregon
Shakespeare Festival. Winner of the Tony
Award for Outstanding Regional Theater,
the Festival presents Shakespearean drama
as well as modern classics in rotating
repertory. The plays are performed in
three theaters, including the oldest
existing full-scale Elizabethan stage in
the Western Hemisphere. Attend superb
performances and learn about the plays and
the theatrical process during fascinating
discussions and lectures with cast members
and festival staff. Join actor and
educator, David Thompson, for an insider's
view of this dynamic festival.
